The Entry school into YWAM and it’s 60+years of legacy.
A YWAM Discipleship Training School (YWAM DTS) is a five/six month journey. It is a phenomenal opportunity to set everything else aside and focus on knowing God and making God known.
During the DTS you will grow in intimacy with God, discover identity and purpose, and strengthen your faith by actively revealing God’s love to others. The DTS will lay a foundation of hearing and obeying God for the rest of your life. This experience will spoil you for the ordinary
DTS Lecture Period
During the Discipleship Training School (DTS) outreach phase, you will join with others to take the message and love of God across the world. You will learn about the diversity of cultures and will participate in God’s purposes for the places you visit.
DTS Outreach Period
The DTS outreach phase will give you the chance to apply the principles you learned during your DTS lecture phase. You can put all of your new perspective into action by sharing God’s truth in different places all around the world. The goal is to share the love of God which you have experienced in your own life.
In the history of the family of ministries under YWAM Windhoek, we have been privileged to go to various communities in the City of Windhoek, the country and abroad and to be part of a process of positive change in people’s lives.
A journey of intimate transformation
“You know my name” by Tasha Cobbs, were the words I was listening to the night I decided to do my Discipleship Training School. That night, I didn’t know that my life would change forever. I never really had a relationship with God, I saw Him as this strict God who only gave orders and I thought that my sins were too great to be forgiven. All of that changed during one of our classes on “The Father Heart of God”, He loved us so much that He gave up His baby boy for us, so that we could live, my sins died on that cross and I am a new person. My DTS was amazing, I discovered my identity as well as my calling and I have built an amazing relationship with God. I used to struggle to talk to God and now I can’t go a day without talking to him, I now see Him as my daddy, my therapist, my counsellor, my everything. I loved my DTS so much that I decided to do a second school through YWAM called the School of Biblical Studies and I can’t wait!
